About Image Tools

Image Tools is a collection of free, browser-based image utilities: compression, resizing, format conversion, cropping and metadata tools.

Every tool runs 100% client-side. When you drop an image into a tool, the file is read by your own browser and processed by JavaScript on your device. Nothing is transmitted to us — there is no upload step at all. That makes the tools fast, private, and free of queues.

The project exists because most online image tools force you to choose between uploading private photos to unknown servers and installing desktop software. We think neither is necessary for everyday image tasks.
